I stayed for 4 nights with my family, the staff were very nice. We enjoyed a meal by the roaring fireplace, like real hospitality!

We really enjoyed our stay here, especially the breathtaking view when we took the kids paragliding near Blencathra. The inn’s warm atmosphere and the cozy pub made it a delightful spot for family dinners, and everyone loved the freshly cooked breakfast each morning.

My kids wished there were more activities specifically for families, like a better play area or some indoor games for bad weather.

our stay at the horse and farrier was fantastic! the superior double room was really beautiful, and the food was excellent—especially the breakfast. the staff were super helpful. we loved the quiet location, just down the road from the sally inn, and the bus service was perfect for our walks.

The staff were all very friendly particularly the manager who was extremely welcoming and helped us with a good local beer selection for our group while we relaxed in the beer garden with amazing views and the food they served was lovely we ended up having dinner there every night because it was just that good
